346 Questions in One Week: An 8th Grader & Hypandra

Two weeks ago Clinton, an 8th grader and one of my 29 niblings, played Hypandra 346 times. We asked him to share his thoughts. - Daniel

I really like Hypandra. I am hoping that at the very least you will try it for yourself. It is a very intriguing game and I will share how. These are the top three reasons why I like hypandra so much.

1. You can't stop playing. You want to get better.

Once you begin it is hard to stop. You just want to keep playing until you win or at least beat your previous high score. This makes you come up with questions that you would normally not have come up with. The AI judges also help with this. Their feedback makes you think even deeper into a subject that normally you might not have given a second thought. For instance, I wrote 6 questions about 'giraffes', 5 about 'knuckles', 4 about 'laughter', 3 about 'blue', 2 about 'cows', and 1 about 'cringe'!

2. It makes you curious.

It makes you curious. I know I covered this partly above but there is so much more. It makes you not just ask new questions but really want to find ways to answer your question. It gives you a longing for answers that you probably didn't have before. And then you are pushed also to think of other questions upon your already existing question! The feedback loop makes you more intrigued and curious the more that you play. It makes you think way more than the average card or board game would.

3. It helps you grow.

It helps you grow and create better questions than when you started. Being curious helps with more in life than you might think. It probably will also help you be a better person than you were before. For instance, after asking about how the clouds on Venus keep heat differently than on Earth I've been thinking about clouds more and seeing them differently.

So all in all, this game helps with multiple qualities for your everyday life. I am hoping that you try this game out. There are so many more great things about this game that you will have to try out to fully understand. If you want to play the game go to hypandra.com to try it out for yourself. I hope that you like it as much as I do.
